Frequently asked questions
carinspect works with fully certified and qualified, reputable local mechanics from all over Australia. If you are a motivated workshop looking to grow your database of local paying customers, we’d love for you to get in touch with us!
It’s easy! First thing to do is to contact us through our enquiry page. We will need some basic information regarding your workshop (company name, ABN, number of registered mechanics) once we receive the information we need and the paperwork is complete, we will send you a welcome pack with all the information you need.
We provide an easy to use inspection app which will take you through the inspection checklist. You will add photos using your smartphone camera and make comments based on what you can see through each part of the inspection process.
Don’t worry! You won’t be able to miss anything on the checklist as you cannot proceed without all the fields being filled in the app. If you cannot test drive the vehicle because it is unregistered, the owner will not allow it, the car won’t start or there is some other reason, no problem, just note it in the comments section of the app under ‘test drive’. The same goes for anything you can’t see on the vehicle, just note it in the relevant field and provide a reason.
No. As we are not able to perform a complete mechanical inspection of each vehicle, we release from liability carinspect and all affiliated contracted service providers from any claims against either party with regard to misrepresentation of a vehicle. carinspect does reserve the right to terminate any mechanic who fails to perform an adequate inspection as a result of negative feedback or an incomplete or unsatisfactory report.
Yes! If you are a qualified Mechanic who does not work with a workshop, we welcome you to join the team. You will simply need to show proof of insurance and operate under a company or ABN and your qualifications will need to be up-to-date.
Carinspect is currently offering a limited number of foundation memberships free of charge, please get in touch urgently if you wish to take advantage of this as these spots are limited.
